Snack Attack!! My favorite Disney Snacks!
Hello, my name is Kasey and I am a SNACKER! I would rather snack all day at the parks instead of sitting down for a meal. I rather keep it moving to the next attraction unless it is planned in advance. Being a passholder I rarely spend a FULL day in the parks, because I can go back anytime. I either go first thing in the mornings on Sundays or after work during the week, which means I am either not fully hungry that early or would have already eaten dinner unless we have reservations. Here are my favorite quick treats that you can eat on the go!
Churro- Churro Cart near Haunted Mansion, New Orleans Square, Disneyland
These are the best churros in the park. I don’t know how or why, but in the 10 years I have had a pass, I have never had a bad churro from this cart. I have gone against my better judgment and got churros other places and I am always disappointed. These churros are always fresh and hot. ALWAYS. I will literally walk from Space Mountain and pass 8 churro carts for this one and I am always glad I did. Honorable mention to the churro bites at the Cozy Cone in California Adventure. Those are a close second but still don’t compare to this churro cart. I need to know why no matter who is there, the time of day or season, this churro cart is consistently an A+. ESPN might need to do a 30 for 30 to investigate this. No other cart comes close in Disneyland and I don’t care what fancy flavors are sprinkled throughout the park for various holidays and promos, this churro cart will always have my heart.
Beignets- Ralphs Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, Downtown Disney
If you have ever had a beignet from New Orleans, then you already know what I am about to say- this is the closest thing to them on property. Not up for debate or discussion. Mickey shaped beignets are cute and fun and come in festive flavors depending on the season, but to me, it’s like J.V. vs Varsity. These are worth the walk and on night trips before I get started, I go to the express window to get some hot beignets before I stop in Sephora then hit DCA.
Warm Cinnamon Roll- Haunted Mansion, New Orleans Square, Disneyland
There is a cart usually in between the churro cart and Harbour Galley and they have quick snacks and hot cocoa. One of their snacks is a warm cinnamon roll with cream cheese icing. You need this. It is so good and gooey and it is a nice size. I enjoy getting this on colder days before I ride the haunted mansion.
Jack Jack Cookie Num Num- Pixar Pier, California Adventure
This is the best snack in California Adventure. No need to debate me about it because I cannot be convinced otherwise. Facts are facts and the fact is this hot cookie is amazing! It has always been hot and gooey and I am not ashamed to say I have made trips to the park mainly for this cookie after work. It’s that good to me. Located at the exit of the Incredicoster, which is brilliant, this cookie never disappoints and if you really want to be greedy, get a scoop of ice cream from Ghirardelli to put on top, find a bench and people watch while enjoying this great treat!
Sea Salt Caramel Hot Cocoa/ Nob Hill Chill- Ghirardelli Shop, Pacific Wharf, California Adventure
The Nob Hill Chill is my favorite shake here because its consistency is thick like a malt. It is vanilla ice cream blended with hot fudge with chocolate chips and whipped cream on top. The sea salt hot cocoa is just a warm hug wrapped up in a cashmere blanket on a cold winters’ night. Sea salt and caramel is literally my favorite duo and when you add whipped cream it’s a party!
As the parks constantly evolve I am sure this list will as well, but as it stands, these instant classics will be hard to beat!
