Better than Airbrushed? This is what Huda Beauty is promising with their new Easy Blur line which includes primer, foundation and a new brush. Since 2021 founder Huda Kattan decided to stop using filters on her pictures, which was a bold step when your brand is built on perfection. Embracing authenticity and self-acceptance is not an easy thing to do, but it started to shift the narrative around inclusivity for real beauty in a positive way. This personal journey led her to create this new line that promises a filter like finish. The new system is to be completed with her best-selling Easy Bake Loose Baking and Setting Powder. Easy Blur Foundation: $37 USD

The foundation is oil based and meant to sit on top of the water-based primer. Huda suggested using a brush to apply the foundation since a sponge might not give the same effect. Medium to full coverage, the serum like foundation is buildable and once you bake, the finish look is supposed to be flawless.

Surprisingly many foundation lines do not include my shade. In 2024. Crazy right? As of today, I can only wear THREE foundation lines in Sephora without having to mix products, which I simply refuse to do. I miss out on a lot of cool lines, but with us being this far along in the makeup game, if Fenty Beauty can get my shade the very first launch, there is no excuse for other brands not to be able to accommodate me. So check back to see if I am able to review this product, but with 29 shade ranges, my hopes are high.
