The Ordinary Squalane + Amino Acids Lip Balm Review: Hydrating Must-Have for Dry Lips

Whether you call ChapStick, lip butter, lip mask or lip therapy, we can all agree that our lips need- and deserve to be well hydrated. When it comes to these products, I am VERY picky. I don’t like products that feel like they just sit on top of my lips, make my lips sticky, or something that I have to reapply every 30 minutes. I keep an array of different types in my nightstand because it is the very last thing I like to apply before I go to bed, so needless to say, I have tried my fair share.

Imagine my surprise when I saw The Ordinary was throwing their hat in the ring with their new Squalane + Amino Acids Lip Balm. Only $9 USD, this product promises to hydrate lips as well as elbows AND cuticles, and we love a multitasking Queen. With a unique blend of Amino Acids, it is said to be highly moisturizing, provide long lasting hydration and provide skin barrier support. Did I need this product when I already have at least 5 open lip balms in my nightstand? Absolutely not. Did she come home with me? Of course she did, and I must say this was a great decision. Not only do I love the design of the unique packaging, but it truly is also a great lip product and on my next trip to Ulta I will definitely grabbing two more- one for the purse and one for my desk at work!
