Is Fenty Skin Here to Change The Game??
Queen Robyn Rihanna Fenty has blessed us with a skincare line and of course I had to be all over that thang! Normally I am very careful about what I put on my skin. I research, discuss with my skincare specialist then form a rational opinion. But Rihanna always has me throwing my rational thinking out the window and I ordered this the MOMENT it launched. I didn’t care what was in it, who it was for or what skin type it catered to. I will cross that bridge when it comes; as long as I am in the boat I am good. The entire line is noncomedogenic, so I was bound to find something that worked!
Waiting for my shipment the brand had mixed reviews which is expected because everyone’s skin type isn’t the same and I like to form my own opinion when it comes to everything! It is a 3 step process designed to work better together, so without further ado, here is my Fenty Skin Review after 2 months of use **updated to include Instant Reset Overnight Recovery Gel Cream*
Total Remove It All Cleans’r- $25
This facewash is a 2-in-1 that is said to removes makeup, oil, dirt and pollution all while being noncomedogenic, oil free and great for all skin types. The star ingredient in this cleanser is Barbados cherry which they state has more vitamin c than an orange to help brighten and Fig that is rich in antioxidants. This cleanser is THICK! A little goes a looooong way. It has a great lather and it feels very moisturizing and my skin does not feel stripped after I rinse it off. My skin felt softer after the 2 months and I plan on repurchasing once I run out. My only complaint is the packaging. The cleaner is so thick I have to squeeze the living daylights out of the tube to get the product out. They should consider a pump; it would make it MUCH easier.
Fenty Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum- $28
I love this toner/serum hybrid because of the texture, which is literally fat water. Thicker than a toner but thinner than a traditional serum, this is packed with goodies such as Niacinamide, Australian Lemon myrtle and witch hazel water which helps reduce oil, refine pores and helps reduce the look of dark marks. It is noncomedogenic and has a light scent. It leaves my skin feeling conditioned and it easily absorbs into the skin. This is easily my morning toner because its light and it adds moisture, so my skin does not feel dry throughout the day.
Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen- $35
This light weight 2-in-1 sunscreen and moisturizer hydrates as well as protects from the sun. It is oil free light weight and goes on invisible. I actually love this moisturizer. It does not leave my skin feeling greasy but gives me a glow. It absorbs great and quickly. Fenty claims that it can also be worn under makeup and it will not pill or ball up, which it hasn’t. I love this for under makeup BUT on a regular sunny LA day, I still add a layer of true SPF on top of it. I am a firm believer of the 2 finger rule when it comes to sunscreen and quite frankly, that would use a LOT of this product. A bonus of this product is that it is refillable AND does not contain oxybenzone or octinoxate so it is coral reef safe!
Instant Reset Overnight Recovery Gel Cream $40
Hands DOWN this is the star of the line! I purchased it and after a week I got a refill because I never want to be without it. It states that it will reduce the look of pores and dark spots in a matter of weeks and I must say my skin did look more healthy overall. I am a sucker for anything nighttime because I love for my skincare to be working overtime while I am sleep. Beauty sleep just got a little better with this product and I refuse to be without.
Overall I rate the line a 4 out of 5 stars! This line is great for people just starting their skincare journey and don’t quite know where to start. I love the fact that is is affordable and takes the guesswork out of a lot of building a skincare routine. I am sure over time they will expand into eye creams and serums but for now, this is a great start.
