Incredicoaster is Incredible!

Yesterday I spent July 4th at California Adventure to check out the all new Pixar Pier, specifically to experience the new Incredicoaster, formally known as California Screaming. Fastpasses were obtained so there was no long wait. I immediately noticed that the tunnels on the ride were red instead of blue and there was a huge arch over the ride entrance with the Incredibles along the under arch. Tv’s were hanging above showing Edna Mode and the Incredibles being interviewed about their new ride while Jack-Jack puts his untamed superpowers to use. We loaded into the coaster and as it starts, Elastigirl asks Edna to watch Jack-Jack, who seems outmatched as he teleports around the room. Jack-Jack escapes and the mission is you and the Incredibles try and catch him as he uses his powers to manipulate certain points of the ride.

The ride takes off at 55mph but it felt like 100! The soundtrack and visuals of this ride makes it seem much faster than California Screaming. Each tunnel has cool aspects on the ceiling, and I know I smelled fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in one of those tunnels. I am greedy if nothing else. The first tunnel had lasers along the ceiling being shot from Jack-Jacks eyes, the next tunnel had Mr. Incredible trying to lure Jack-Jack back with the cookie that I smelled and the 3rd tunnel Jack-Jack has set on fire which forces Violet to use an invisible force field around it to keep us safe. Disney’s attention to detail is truly unmatched.

Every time Disneyland decides they want to change something ride wise I never question it. While California Screaming was one of my favorite rides, this was the upgrade I didn't know I needed, but now can't do without.
