Infinity War Has Me SHOOK!

What did I just watch? Did that really just happen? When I go see Marvel movies, I leave with a warm heart and my cup runneth over with glee. What did I just watch? In true fashion I saw this movie three times already. The first two times are to fully grasp the storyline, the third I attempt to take notes for a recap such as this. I am still shook. Infinity War was just that- an all-out war, and the ending left my edges back at the IPic in Westwood, row 4 seat 1. Let's get to it shall we?

No Resurrections

The movie opens right where Thor: Ragnarök left off and we hear a distress call going out over a radio. Thanos has taken over their ship and I already have an uneasy feeling. We see Ebony Ma and Thanos’s crew telling the ship, full of Asgardians to rejoice for there are now children of Thanos and even in death their life has meaning by tipping the scales in the balance. Thanos tell them he knows what it’s like to lose. The first time I saw Thanos was a post credit scene from Avengers being told that the Avengers are not easily beaten. In Age of Ultron, after seeing yet another mission failed, he puts on the gauntlet and says, "Fine, I'll do it myself." That lets you know right there he is a bad mama jamma and is about this taking over the world life. Anyway Thanos says no matter what, destiny arrives all the same and tada! here I am. He flexes the gauntlet and you already see he has the power stone that he got when he destroyed Xandar. During his speech he picks up Thor like a Raggedy Ann doll, and it shows you just how big this dude is. Thanos asks Loki for the Tesserract in exchange for Thor's life. Loki tells Thanos to kill away but stops him when he sees Thor in pain. Thor says they don’t have the Tesserract because it was destroyed on Asgard. Loki produces the Tesserract and Thor calls him the worst brother. Loki assures Thor that the sun will shine on them again, and Thanos, reading his emotions, tells him his optimism is misplaced and calls him Asgardian. Loki says “for one, I am not Asgardian, and for another We have a Hulk!” which is a call back to the first Avengers. Hulk comes out of nowhere and starts going H.A.M. on Thanos causing him to drop the Tesserract. Using the strength of the power stone, Thanos beats the breaks off the Hulk who is actually bigger than him, but no match against the power stone. He literally Throws Hulk over his head with a body slam and the Hulk is now unconscious. WHAT?! The Hulk?! Thor runs up on Thanos to defend his friend and is quickly put in steel chains. Heimdall, barely clinging to life calls on the Allfathers to give him strength and let the good ole black magic flow through him one last time and he transports Hulk using the Bifröst.

Thanos crushes the Tesserract while Ebony Maw is in full stan mode. He says no other being has had the nobility to hold not one, but two Infinity Stones. He shrugs off his armor which is a flex ‘cause that lets you know, he no longer has the need for it. With two of the six infinity Stones, no one in the universe can see him period. He adds the blue space stone to his gauntlet and lets the power flow through him. He states that there are two more stones on earth and tells his children to find them and bring them back to him on his planet Titan. Loki hears the word Earth and jumps at the opportunity to be a guide since he has experience. Thanos says "if you call failure an experience" recalling his failed mission on earth in the first Avengers. Loki reintroduces himself and tries to sway Thanos. “I, Loki, Prince of Asgard, Odinson, the rightful King of Jotunheim, God of Mischief, do hereby pledge to you, my undying fidelity”, but it’s a trick. He goes to stab Thanos but Thanos uses the space stone to see through Loki's scheme and grabs him by the neck. As he is squeezing the life out of Loki, manages to tell him he will ever be a God. Thanos snaps his neck without so much a facial expression and tosses his dead body at Thor's feet who still in chains. Thanos tells Thor, "no resurrections this time." Thanos and company teleports out of the ship as Thor is released from his chains and crawls to Loki's body. The ship starts to blow up

Thanos is Coming 

We see the Bifröst carrying Thor head for earth as we see Hoang and Dr. Strange having a conversation in the Sanctum Sanctorum. They are broke and hungry and all the sudden something crashes through their roof through the stairs. They go to the wreckage and see Hulk turning back into Bruce Banner and all he can say is " Thanos is coming." He looks stressed and scared and all Dr Strange can say is "who?". Then we get hit with the title card. 

So far we have seen Thanos drag Thor like a Bratz doll, beat the breaks off of the Hulk, snap Loki's neck, stab Heimdall, add the space stone to his gauntlet, give a speech  and scare Hulk back into Bruce Banner WITHOUT a lullaby and it hasn't even been 15minutes yet. Right about now I am contemplating my decision to even see this movie because clearly, I must love stress.

 You Should Have Shirts In Your Closet 

Back in New York we see my boyfriend, my love, my favorite Avenger ever, Tony Anthony Stark taking a jog with Pepper in Central Park. He is telling her he had a dream that she was pregnant, and they named their kid after her eccentric uncle Morgan. Pepper tells Tony that not only is she not pregnant, but if he wanted to start a family he wouldn’t have done "that", pointing to something on his chest that resembles a remixed version of his heart reactor. He tells her it is just a housing unit for nanoparticles just in case there is a monster in the closet. She says there should be shirts in the closet. Tony promises Pepper there will be no more surprises and he says they should go out and celebrate their engagement (that took place at the end of Spiderman Homecoming) and as they kiss, Dr. Strange comes through a portal interrupting. Tony asks if he is giving out tickets to something and Dr. Strange tells him basically the fate of the world is a stake and they must go, all while congratulating him on his future wedding. Bruce comes through the portal and hugs Tony who is confused to see him there and in such a shaken state.

The Beatles< The Avengers 

Back at the Sanctorum Wong explains the Big Bang Theory and the role the six elemental crystals play, saying the infinity stones each control an essential aspect of existence: space, time, power, reality, soul and mind. Dr. Strange flosses the fact that he has the time stone and Tony wants the stats. Bruce tells Tony that Thanos is a plague and he sent Loki and caused the original attack on New York in the first Avengers that ultimately gave Tony severe panic attacks (Iron Man 3). Tony says this is it, as if it is what he has been waiting on for the last 5 years. He asks Bruce what the timeline is and Bruce says there is no timeline. He takes what he wants, wipes out half the population and keeps it pushing. Bruce says if he gets his hands on all six stones its lights out. Tony suggests that they just throw the one Dr. Strange has down the garbage disposal and Wong says they gave an oath to protect the time stone with their lives. Dr. Strange said it might be there best chance against Thanos and Tony thinks it could also be Thanos's best chance against them. Tony asks what is Dr. Strange's actual job, and he replies, "Protecting your reality, douchebag". These two are oil and water because personality wise they are so similar. Bruce breaks up the argument and says they know where the time stone is and Vision is out there with the mind stone and they have to find him. Tony says Vision turned off his transponder and Bruce asks if he lost yet another Super-Bot (referring to Ultron being the first). Tony says he is evolving, and maybe Steve Rogers could find him.  Note, Tony did not call him Capt. like normal. Clearly Tony is still bitter from the events of Civil War and rightfully so. Dr. Strange sucks his teeth in disgust, maybe because Steve Rogers is currently On The Run like Jay-Z and Beyonce and is now considered a felon. Tony tells Bruce that the Avengers broke up and he asks, "like a band? like the Beatles?". Tony says they are not on speaking terms (rightfully so, again #teamironman) and Bruce says it does not matter who is speaking to or not. Thor is gone and Thanos is coming which was a nice way of saying put that ego down and pick up the phone. Tony pulls out an old flip phone, the one Steve mailed to him at the end of Civil War and they feel a shift in the air.

Lets pause right here. If Infinity War takes place roughly two years after Civil War, the fact that Tony kept that old, outdated flip phone in his pocket lets you know how worried he was. Him and Steve were not speaking but in the letter he sent, Steve said if he ever needed him to call and he would be there. Tony Stark, the leader of cutting-edge technology kept a flip phone for such a time as this and now he is hesitant to make the call. Is it because he isn’t ready to face Steve after their fight or because he isn't ready to face what’s a head? Let's get back to the story.

Earth Is Closed Today

They feel a shift in the air and a faint breeze. Tony asks Dr. Strange if he is moving his hair and he says no, not at the moment. They go outside to investigate, and it looks like Armageddon. Cars crashing, people running and screaming, and Tony puts on his glasses and asks F.R.I.D.A.Y for an update on what is happening. She said she is working on it. The scene cuts to kids on a school bus and we finally see Spidey Sense. He looks out the window and sees the spaceship. He asks his friend for a distraction as he hops out the window to face whatever madness lies ahead. 

  Tony, Bruce, Dr. Strange and Wong come face to face with the Spaceship and Ebony Maw who starts in again with his children of Thanos speech, but Tony is already over it. "Earth is closed today!". Ebony Maw asks the "Stonekeeper" if the chattering animal speaks for him and he says he speaks for himself and gets ready to protect the stone. Ebony Maw sends an alien to fetch the stone and Tony is asking The Hulk if he wants in on the action. Banner says no not really but he rarely gets what he wants. Tony tells Bruce it is good to have him back, only Banner can't turn. Tony tells him that he is embarrassing him in front of the wizard and the Hulk says he doesn't know why the Hulk won't come out to play. Tony asks Wong to watch Bruce and with that tony taps his chest and we see the most epic Iron Man suit up in MCU history complete with blasters with the help of nanotech. Mark L seems to come from his pores almost and spread over his body and the first thing I thought of is when Ant Man flew inside of his suite in Civil War. One thing about Tony is he will constantly make changes to his armor to be better than the last.

I'm Gonna Make A Call

As they are fighting on the street Iron Man tries to keep the fight away from Dr. Strange and the stone like they don’t know he has it. Spiderman shows up and Iron Man tells him his goal is to watch the Wizard and the necklace. Spidey is eager to impress Tony while Dr. Strange teleports Bruce someplace safe. Bruce and Hulk fight and Hulk tells Bruce NO when he asks for him. Did Thanos beat the Hulk into submission or is the Hulk tired of always being Bruce's savior when all Bruce tries to do is get rid of him. I could see Hulk feeling unappreciated, but I can also see him having a bruised ego. Anyway, Spidey calls for help as he and Strange and being beamed up into space and Iron Man follows them. Spidey is running out of air and Tony tells Spidey to let go he will catch him and its actually the Iron Spidey suit that catches him. he tells F.R.I.D.A.Y. to send him home while there is an incoming call from Pepper. She tells Tony he better not be on that ship and he apologizes and tells her they might have to push their 830pm dinner reservations back. As Pepper's call breaks up, he says he is sorry with a sigh of regret.  Outside we see Peter did not go home but held on to the ship and says he should have stayed on the bus as Earth gets smaller and smaller. Back in New York Wong tells Bruce the Sanctum is unguarded so he must go while Bruce picks up Tony's flip phone and says he is going to make a call.

He Is Not A Dude

 We see the Guardians of the Galaxy flying through space while jamming to the Rubber Band Man by the Spinners. They are answering a distress call with hopes to steal their ship if they don't pay up. Groot is in full pre-teen mode and can't be bothered. They approach the wreckage of the Asgardian ship from the opening scene and they are stunned. Thor flies into their windshield and scares them and opens one eye showing he is still alive. They bring him aboard the ship and fawn over his body. Mantis wakes him up. 

Thanos 's Plan

Gimora tells the ship that Thanos only ever had one goal: to bring balance to the universe by wiping out 50% of all living things and if he gets his hands on all six stones he can do it with a snap of his finger. We find out that is what he did to Drax's planet and that Girmora is Thano's stepdaughter and she hates his guts. Thor tells Gimora the story of his family that isn’t too pretty and Quill tries to one up him in storytelling, also tries to copy his voice which we all agreed was weird. Gimora says they need to stop Thanos so they need to find out where he is going next. 

Thor says he is going to Knowhere because for years the reality stone has been safely stored with The Collector and Quill says if he has it, it isn’t safe. Gimora asks how does Thor know he isn’t going after one of the other stones and Thor says there are six stones; Thanos already has the power and space stone, the time and mind stone are safe on earth with the Avengers, earths mightiest heroes, no one has ever seen the soul stone and no one even knows where it is, therefore he is going to Knowhere for the reality stone. Gimora says they have to go to Knowhere now and Thor says they need to go to Nidavellir and Rocket is excited. They are known to make the most horrific weapons in the universe which is right up Rocket's ally. Thor says Rabbit is correct and that he needs Eitri the Dwarf can make the weapon he needs and asks Rocket to join him on his quest. Since they have 2 ships they decide to split up with Groot, Rocket and Thor going to Nidavellir and the rest of the group going to Knowhere. 

You'll Never Get The Chance Again

In Scotland we see Wanda and Vision, who is all types of human now, I'm sure from using the regeneration cradle and the work of Helen Cho from Age of Ultron. He is getting these bad headaches because the stone is trying to show him something. He places Wanda's hand on his forehead in hopes that she can get more information, but all she feels is him. They are on a vacation of some sorts seeing if they can in fact have a normal healthy relationship. They talk about not going back and staying together but then they see the destruction on a tv from a small eatery and it says Tony Stark is missing. Vision says he now must go and just then he is stabbed something terrible which causes him to turn back to his robot form. Two of Thanos's children try to dig the stone out of Vision's head but Wanda is on it. All four fight all around the town literally. Vision asks Wanda to leave and she says no, she is staying. Wanda squares up for another round and a train passes distracting them then Captain America shows up to the fight. He looks all types of dangerous now and I am loving it. The clean-cut perfect all-American boy is gone and we get a new Capt.  His hair is longer, beard is in full effect and his bright red white and blue suite is now a dark navy blue and has tears on his chest so you can see bits of the old suit popping through.  Black Widow shows up with a new short blonde bob and the Falcon also joins the fight. They quickly handle the kids of Thanos and Black Widow says "we don’t want to kill you but we will." The response was "you'll never get the chance again." Back on the Quinjet Natasha scolds Vision and Widow for going off the grid and Captain America says it’s time to go home.

Promise Me

We see a flashback of the day Thanos took Gimora after slaughtering half her people. While the massacre happens to distract her, he is showing her a knife that is perfectly balanced as all things should be. Back in present day, Gimora asks Peter to kill her if Thanos ever gets his hands on her because she knows something that can end the universe. Quill promises but against his better judgment. She makes him swear on his mother and he agrees. They arrive on Knowhere and Gimora ambushes Thanos, attacking him and stabbing him in the neck, only it is all an illusion because Thanos is using the reality stone to manipulate what they see. They are too late. They charge but Thanos turns Mantis into ribbon and Drax into blocks, then he grabs Gimora and Quill holds Thanos at gunpoint and tells him to get her go. Gimora tells Quill to shoot her instead of Thanos because he promised. She tells him she loves him more than anything and Quill shoots, but Thanos turns his blasts into bubbles and escapes with Gimora using the Space stone.

We Don't Trade Lives

The remaining Avengers from Scotland arrive at Avengers Campus in New York. We see Rhodes talking to Secretary Ross and he wants the whereabouts of the criminals, aka the Avengers that did not sign the accords and went on the run. They walk in and Ross tells Capt. he got big nerve showing up like all is forgiven.  Capt. and Natalie or over him and basically say Tony is gone so we are here to fight and if you stand in the way, we will fight you too. 

Bruce and Nat reunite, and it is just as awkward as we thought it would be. He wanted to run away with her finally, but she wanted to be an Avenger. They DEFINITLY need to have a talk but now is not the time. Rhodes says we have to assume they won’t stop until they get Visions stone and Bruce said we need all hands-on deck. Nat says Clint and Scott are on house arrest from the Civil War fallout, so they have to think of another plan. Vision asks Wanda to destroy the stone in his forehead if it comes down to it and she is against it. Capt. says we don't trade lives and Bruce has an idea of maybe removing the stone and still keeping the best parts of Vision, but he can't do it. Capt. says he knows a place.

Where's The Fight?

Back in my hometown of Wakanda, King T'Challa and Okoye are discussing what tribes are down for the impending fight. They go to talk to the White Wolf, aka the Winter Soldier, b.k.a. Bucky Barnes. T'Challa says he might be tired of war, but he has rested long enough. Bucky Bae has been fighting just about all his life but when a fight is coming, you pull out the big guns. They present him with a new arm that is probably Vibranium and he looks tired, but asks, where is the fight? T'Challa says it’s on the way.

Six Years Coming

Back on the spaceship Iron Man is checking out the scene and Spidey presents himself. Iron Man is annoyed because he feels responsible for Spidey and they are literally up in space. He knows what is at stake. This will not be a fight of friends at an airport, this is life or death. Spidey says he thought this through and basically, he is there to stay. I love their relationship by the way. Iron Man tells Ebony Maw that him and Dr Strange aren't friends, saving his life is more of a professional courtesy, making it clear where they stand in each other’s lives. Spiderman uses a tactic from the movie Aliens to free Dr Strange and kill Ebony Maw and Iron Man wants a thank you. Dr Strange reminds Tony he doesn't work for him and Tony points out that because of that, they are a billion miles from earth, meaning had he listened back in NY, they wouldn’t be in this mess. Dr Strange asks if Tony can fly them home and Tony says he isn’t sure if that is the best thing to do and he doesn't know what to do. For six years Tony has been dreading this and he does not really have a plan. Dr Strange says he will play it Tony's way but if it comes down to the Stone, Spidey or Tony's life, he will not hesitate to let them die because the universe depends on it. Tony says he is fine with that and he makes Spidey an Avenger.

 I Never Taught You To Lie

Gimora tells Thanos how much she hated her life with him and he said she has said the same thing for 20 years. Gimora said she was happy on her home planet and Thanos tells her that since he killed half of her people, the children born there have known nothing but full bellies and clear skies and murdering half the planet was a small price for salvation. Life needs to be checked and he is the one to do it. She says everything she hates about herself he taught her but his response was but that made her the fiercest woman in the galaxy which is why he trusted her to find the soul stone. She apologizes for disappointing him and he said he is sorry, not because she didn’t find it because she lied. 

He takes her to a room where her sister Nebula is being tortured. Gimora still says she doesn’t know where the soul stone is but Thanos makes Nebula play a memory that replays a conversation they had where Gimora tells Nebula she burned the map to the soul stone to ash. Thanos tells Gimora that her generosity and strength comes from him, but he never taught her to lie and that’s why she is so bad at it. He tortures Nebula more and Gimora gives up the goods: the stone is on Vormir.

He Has Never Fought Me Twice

Rocket and Thor have a heart to heart and Rocket says Thanos is the toughest there is. Thor says in his 1500 years he has killed twice as many enemies and he is only alive because fate wants him alive. Thanos is next in line to feel his vengeance because fate wills it so. Rocket gives him an eye he stole from someone on Contraxia and gives it to Thor. They arrive at Nidavellir and everything is dark. The star has gone out and the rings are frozen. Rocket points out a cast of the gauntlet and find Dimitri the Elf with his hands covered by steel. He says Thor and Asgard was supposed to protect them and Thor tells him Asgard is destroyed. He says he made Thanos the gauntlet, a device capable of housing the power of the stones, thinking he would spare their lives, but he killed them all anyway. Thanos told him that his life was his own, but his hands belonged to him. Thor tells him his weapon capabilities are all in his mind, and together, they can create something to kill Thanos, while Nebula sends out an SOS to Mantis to meet her on Titan.

 Who Is Gimora?!

Spidey, Dr Strange and Iron Man crash land on Titan and square up with the Guardians of the Galaxy that are looking for Gimora. They think the Avengers work with Thanos, so they attack. After a random who, where and why is Gimora conversation, realize they are on the same side when Mantis says that Thor told them about them. Dr. Strange asks where is Thor now?

Stormbreaker

Back on Nidavellir, Dimitri shows them a mold of a kings weapon, the greatest in Asgard and in theory it could summon the Bifröst and its named Stormbreaker. To make it they need to restart the forge and awaken the heart of the dying star. The mission seems impossible, but Thor is determined to get that weapon.

 14,000,605 to 1

On Titan the Avengers Redux and the Gaurdian’s minus Gimora are coming up with a plan to attack Thanos and get the gauntlet. Quill is annoying Tony's soul (and mine too) and they notice Strange having some personal issues in the corner. They ask if he is ok, and he said he was viewing possible outcomes. He says he went forward in time to view alternate futures and he viewed 14,000,605 and they only won ONE! Like out of all those times, only one way was successful. That does not sound too promising if you ask me.

Destiny Won't Be Denied

Thanos and Gimora arrive at Vormir and is greeted by Red Skull. Thanos asks for the stone and Red Skull says the price is steep and Thanos says he is willing to pay it. Thanos asks Red Skull what he is doing there, and he says he too was after the stones once, even held one in his hands but got banished on Vormir, guiding people to a treasure he can’t possess. The price for the stone is you must give up something you love, a soul for a soul, so you truly understand the stones power. Gimora laughs at Thanos saying the trick is on him because he loves nothing. All this scheming he did for all these years mean nothing because he loves nothing. Gimora sees he has tears and she is like are you serious? tears? from big bad Thanos? Red Skull quickly shuts her up and says "Those tears aren't for him." That smile fades real quick. She says that what they have isn't love and Thanos says he ignored his destiny once and can't ignore it again, even for her. She tries to commit suicide with the knife he gave her as a child, but he turns it to bubbles. He says "I’m sorry little one" as he tosses her off a cliff, killing her and for his troubles, he gets the soul stone, the 4th of 6.

Get This Man A Shield

The Avenger Beatles land in Wakanda and is greeted by King T'Challa, the Dora Milaje and Bucky. Bruce tells the King to expect a huge assault because he already knows what Thanos is about. They take Vision up to Princess Shuri's lab to examine the mind stone. She asks Bruce why didn’t they just reprogram the synopsis to work collectively? He stammers and says he doesn’t know and she says, "I’m sure you did your best". HOW SMART IS THIS PRINCESS?! She basically laughed at Bruce's ignorance and we know him as the smartest next to Tony. She says she can remove the stone, but it will take time. Okoye gets an alert on her Kimoyo beads that something has entered the atmosphere, but it can't enter Wakanda's bubble. Vision says it is too late and Capt. tells Wanda as soon as it is out of Vision, blow it up. T'Challa gives orders to evacuate the city and to get Capt. a shield.

Captain America's original shield was made by Howard Stark out of Vibranium, and in Civil War after Iron Man, Capt. and Bucky fight, Tony tells him he doesn't deserve the shield because his daddy made it, therefore, Capt. has no shield. Bucky (under Hydra brainwashing) Killed Tony's parents and Capt. knew the whole time. Anyway I’m getting side tracked..

Back on Nidavellir the iris is crippled and without it, he can't heat the metal and it needs 2b open for a few minutes at least. Thor says he is going to hold it open and Eitri says that suicide and Thor says so is facing Thanos without that axe.

YIBAMBE!

The Wakandans are gearing up for war and we see Bruce wearing Veronica, aka the Hulk Buster from Age of Ultron because Hulk is still not in the mood for the foolishness. The Jabari tribe arrive to stand with Wakanda and T'Challa thanks him and M'Baku replies, "of course brother". That shows that T'Challa kept his promise from Black Panther, not being like past kings, turning his back on the Jabari Tribe. Cute. Natasha, Black Panther and Capt. go to the boarder to have a come to Jesus meeting with the children of Thanos and they say Thanos will have that stone. T'Challa says here in Wakanda, Thanos will have nothing but dust and blood. The grey chick says they have blood to spare. Aliens and Thano's kids are circling the barrier and literally killing themselves to get through. They start shooting the aliens that do make it through and Banner says if they circle the boarder and go from the backside, it leads them straight to Vision which is the whole point of all this. Capt. says then we will keep them in front of us. T'Challa calls for a part of the boarder to be opened, basically letting them in. M'Baku says it will be the end of Wakanda. Okoye says it will be the noblest ending in history. T'Challa shouts Wakanda Forever and with that they charge into an all-out fight. while Shuri is in the lab working on getting the stone out.

BRING ME THANOS!

Thor is about to take the full force of the star in order to get this weapon and Eitri tells him it'll more than likely kill him. Thor DGAF and does it anyway, awakening the star but passes out. Eitri says he needs his the axe but they can't find the handle. Groot gives his arm to mend the weapon together and we see Thors hand move slightly. Back in Wakanda, the odds are not looking too good as they are outnumbered. Just then the Bifröst lands in Wakanda and we see Stormbreaker kill everything in its path and come right back to Thor. Bruce announces that they are in trouble now, and Thor shows them why he is the God of Thunder to the tune of the amazing Avengers theme. Papa Thor is here and he is pissed.

 I Call It Mercy

Thanos arrives on Titan looking for Ebony Maw and learns he is dead but he isn’t too bothered by it. No sacrifice, no victory. Thanos rewinds time and tells Dr. Strange about his past home planet. Too many people and not enough resources to go around so on the brink of extinction he offered a solution. Random Genocide so it would be fair. Rich or poor didn’t matter into the factor. They called him a madman, but sure enough he was right. He says with all six stones he could snap his fingers and trillions would cease to exist and he calls that mercy. After that, he would just kick back and watch the sun rise on a grateful universe. He tells Dr. Strange the hardest choices require the strongest wills and Dr. Strange said their will is just as strong as his. Just when Thanos realizes he isn't alone the Avengers Redux attack and the goal is to not let him close his fist. Nebula shows up to fight and is looking for her sister. All the Avengers have some part of Thanos and Mantis puts him under a trance while Spidey and Iron Man try to pull the gauntlet off. Star Lord takes this time to talk trash and he is also asking for Gimora. Mantis says he is in mourning and Nebula tells them he killed Gimora for the soul stone. Tony tells Quill to keep a level head they almost have the gauntlet off but in true Quill form, he goes bananas and starts hitting Thanos which breaks the trance. Now Thanos is pissed. He fights back not to disarm them but he now knows they might actually have a chance, so he literally crumbles a mood and throws it at Iron Man. A MOON!!!

In Wakanda this fight is still going strong; Rocket asks Bucky how much for his arm, Capt. and Thor discuss male grooming while Shuri is working hard in the lab. Some metal tire sharp things invade Wakanda from underground, completely ignoring the barrier to get Scarlet Witch on the battlefield and it works. Shuri's lab is invaded and Vision is attacked. Sam sees this and tells everyone with an earpiece that they have a Vision problem. Bruce gets there first and is still trying to get the Hulk to join the party and he wants no parts. Bruce tells the Hulk they have a lot to figure out. Vision is stable and Capt. shows up and tells Vision to get outta there while he fights for his life. Vision stays to help Capt. and reminds him that we don’t trade lives.

Cursed With Knowledge

On Titan,  Dr. Strange tries to use the  magic of illusion to confuse Thanos, but since he has the reality stone, it doesn't work that long. Iron Man confronts Thanos and Thanos already knows who he is, saying he isn't the only one cursed with knowledge. Iron Man and Thanos go head to head and Iron Man even draws blood, but Thanos. Has. The. Power. Stone. They really should have looked to see which stones he already had while he was under his trance. Anyway, he shanks Tony and I loose it. No.. Not Iron Bae. Not King Downey Jr. I refuse. Dr. Strange tells Thanos to spare Tony’s life and he will give up the stone. Tony tells him not to but Dr. Strange does it anyway. Thanos adds it to the gauntlet, number 5 of 6 and heads straight to Wakanda. Quill asks where he went and did they just loose?! Tony asks Dr. Strange why he gave up the stone and Dr. Strange just says, "we're in the endgame now" Endgame is like the final stage of something and I honestly don't want no parts. 

You Should Have Gone For The Head

The air shifts in Wakanda and Thanos shows up for the last stone.  Bruce, Capt., Black Panther, Black Widow, just about every main Marvel character go after Thanos but with the stones they are no match. He literally keeps walking. Vision tells Wanda now is the time to break the stone because if he gets it, half the universe dies. It shouldn't be her, but it is so lets do this. He says she could never hurt him, he just feels her. Wanda starts to destroy the stone while holding Thanos back with her powers and Thanos is using the power stone to fight against it but still can't. Wanda is THAT strong. That just shows how powerful she is. The stone is shattered and Vision dies and Wanda’s heart breaks. Thanos looks disappointed. Thanos tells Wanda he understands her tears because today, he lost more than she could ever know, but now is no time to mourn. With that Thanos uses the time stone to go back a minute to when Vision was still alive and snatches the stone right out of his forehead an throws his old body to the side like a used piece of tissue and I am SHOOKETH! Thanos is a cold piece of work let me say it again!

Thanos now has all six stones and the moment he puts number six in his gauntlet Stormbreaker comes out of nowhere and lands dead in his chest. Thor tells Thanos "I told you, you die for that" shoves it in further. Thanos tells him "you should have gone for the head and snaps". HE SNAPS. HE LITERALLY SNAPPED. He is instantly mentally transported inside the soul stone where he sees baby Gimora. She asks of he did it. He replies yes and she asks what did it cost him? Thanos says everything. Back in real life the gauntlet is smoking and almost melted and Thor asks Thanos what did he do!. Thanos transports himself outta there and leaves them looking stupid.

Bucky calls out to Capt. and turns to dust as does Black Panther. One by one different Marvel characters turn to dust on the Wakandan battlefield. Back on Titan they feels a shift and Mantis says something is happening as she disappears, then Drax then Quill. Before he disappears, Dr. Strange told Tony, there was no other way. Spidey calls out for Tony, saying he doesn't feel good and doesn't want to go. Did he feel it happen way before everyone else because of Spidey Sense? He is in tears and collapses in Tony arms saying he doesn't want to go. Spidey tells Tony he is sorry and with that he turns to dust. This one especially hurt because Tony feels a type of responsibility to Spidey because he told him in Homecoming, if something happens to you, it’s on me. Nebula tells Tony Thanos did it. Tony looks defeated and back in Wakanda, Capt., Nat, Bruce, Rhodey, Rocket and Thor stand around Visions dead body. Rhodey asks WTF is going on and all Capt. can do is say "oh God". Thanos has a seat and watches the sun rise on a "grateful universe" THE END! 

Whew! YO! WE LOST! WE LOST BIG TIME! We lost in true fashion and it was the first time in an Avenger movie where people were crying AND stunned. When the end credits rolled there was silence. Iron Man's knowledge which is his greatest weapon couldn't help him. His greatest fear became reality and all he could do was watch. Thanos beat the Hulk out of Banner and treated Earth's Mightiest Heroes like insects. I am not ready for the next part but I want to see it right now. This movie was an emotional roller-coaster and it didn't even end on a high note. It did a great job of weaving all of these franchises together in a believable way, but the fact that even with all these franchises they STILL lost, says a lot about the strength of Thanos and the stones. Thanos has been after these stones for almost 8 years and he was not about to stop until his mission was complete. Thanos might just be the greatest villain in movie history. Even Darth Vader saved his own son, but Thanos tossed Gimora off a cliff without giving it a second thought because he was not about to let little one stand in the way of his fate. Even his pause was not to think about his choice, because it was already clear. It was more of, “how do I tell her she is about to be tossed to her death like I’m tossing a frisbee to a friend on the beach?” His dedication to his mission was admirable to say the least. When he said “fine, I’ll do it MYSELF” four years ago, he was not playing! He really went planet by planet army, by army and got every single stone himself. You have to respect the hustle.

As for the rest of us, We're in the endgame now.
